I was shopping for bedding for my dorm today, and all of a sudden everything became very real.
This is my senior year– the final stretch of my senior year. And this is all going to sound very cliche and cheesy, but it really does go by fast. I feel like it was just yesterday that I started at Barbara Ingram. It’s crazy to think that it’s been four years.
My years at Barbara Ingram have been filled with ups and downs, and many changes. I walked in certain that it was my first step on the road to becoming a Broadway star, and after some humbling experiences (getting put in my place. A lot. This was a good thing.) and a lot of new life experiences, I really don’t know where I’m headed– law, government, maybe Miss America somewhere in there??
There are some things I’m really going to miss (mostly just my mom and dad. I don’t know what I’m going to do without them. Who will do the dishes and make dinner and do everything else for me? Also, who is going to give me money…? They’re definitely coming with me to college…Right?) And there are some things (*ahem*) that I definitely won’t miss and just can’t wait to get away from (cough cough.) But I am mostly just excited for the future, and excited to join the Ithaca College family (I ordered my Ithaca sweats a few days ago, so this is definitely official) and see what life has in store for me.
