I’ve never been very good at dealing with big changes or transitions, but I think I’m finally starting to get used to waking up in my own apartment. The last week has been filled with transitions with moving into my apartment (and watching it slowly evolve from an empty place where boys/possibly goats used to live, to something that looked like a tornado had hit, to finally being my apartment) and learning how to do big apartment-y things like buying furniture and budgeting (MONEY DOESN’T GROW ON DADS??) and paying bills (WHAT???) and cleaning (WHERE IS MOM???) Luckily I live with two boys who love cooking.
On a more serious note, I think this year is actually going to be really good for me. I’m not very independent, and although I have the best boyfriend and roommate here to help me, it’ll be good to do things a little bit more on my own. This is a big year at school and I have a lot of really important things to figure out (i.e. my future) and I think this change of scenery and newfound independence (hopefully) will be really helpful.
